Chris Brown Announces 2026 Tour Dates After Five-Year Hiatus...

Chris Brown has officially announced his 2026 "Under the Influence" tour, marking his first major concert series in five years. The R&B star revealed 32 North American dates starting September 5 in Las Vegas, with stops including New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles before concluding November 21 in Miami.

The tour announcement comes after Brown's extended break from touring following his 2021 legal issues and subsequent focus on studio work. Fans flooded social media within hours of the announcement, with #CB2026Tour trending nationwide as tickets went on presale Friday morning through Ticketmaster.

Brown confirmed the tour during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" Wednesday night, performing his new single "Temporary Lover" live for the first time. The singer told host Jimmy Fallon he's "ready to give the fans what they've been waiting for" after developing new stage production and choreography.

Tour promoter Live Nation reports unprecedented demand, with over 500,000 presale signups in the first three hours. The general public ticket sale begins April 18 at 10 AM local time through Brown's official website and major ticketing platforms.

The 36-year-old artist last toured in 2021 for his "Indigo" album before canceling international dates. Industry analysts predict the 2026 tour could become one of the year's highest-grossing R&B tours, with Barclays Center in Brooklyn already adding a second show due to demand.

Brown's management team confirmed special guests will be announced in coming weeks, with rumors circulating about possible collaborations with Lil Baby and Summer Walker. The tour coincides with the planned August release of Brown's eleventh studio album "Breezy 2.0."

Controversy surrounds the announcement, with some critics questioning venues' decisions to host Brown following past allegations. However, fan response appears overwhelmingly positive, with Staples Center in Los Angeles reporting 85% of presale tickets sold within 90 minutes.

The tour will feature Brown's first arena performances since 2019, utilizing new hologram technology according to production notes. Medical staff will be present at all shows following Brown's 2023 onstage collapse during a festival performance.

American Express cardholders gained exclusive early access to tickets starting Thursday morning. Prices range from $59.50 for upper-level seats to $499 for VIP packages including meet-and-greets. All dates will implement Ticketmaster's Verified Fan system to combat scalpers.

Brown's last full tour grossed $35 million across 42 shows. Industry insiders project the 2026 tour could double that figure given pent-up demand and Brown's streaming dominance in recent years. The singer currently holds the record for most Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Top 10 entries (109) in chart history.
